It begins with intelligent use of technology and an innovative way to gather and present all
the world´s cheers to all the world´s football (soccer) heroes. World Cup is the type of event
that brings the world together. Through the Big Cheer Ericsson enables people to engage by
giving them a fantastic opportunity to discover new aspects of communicating with others
by sharing their passion for football (soccer).
Fans from around the world can show their support for their favorite team and players by sending
their cheers via the campaign site, text message or through Twitter using #bigcheer. All cheers
will be printed on confetti in a spectacular cube made of glass which is located in Ericsson's
multimedia office in Kista, just outside of Stockholm. Participants will be able to see their
personal cheers and those sent in by football fans from around the world. And everyone can share
their cheers with their friends.
Every goal scored during World Cup 2010 will be celebrated with a confetti fanfare.
