Poster for folkoperan in Stockholm, Sweden. Fabian Faust is a new interpretation
of Faust by the French composer Charles Gounod. A brand new opera for children
aged between eight and twelve.
The plot:
Fabian Faust is unsatisfied with his life, he dreams of love yet feels unsuccessful,
unattractive and alone. Fabian makes a deal with the devil, exchanging his soul to
become every girls dream guy – A real idol star. He wants to win the heart of the
girl next door, Margarita. But the question becomes if fame and beauty really matter.
When are you beautiful and how can friendship and love work when you're not yourself?
The opera brings up questions that most children face every day.
